Officially, it's already fall, but the scorching temperatures of the last few days have made me want to share with you 3 of my vegan discoveries from the summer!

Whether it's coffee or iced tea, I swear by cold brew. If you haven't tried this method yet, DO IT! I swear, the result is light years ahead of adding ice to the hot version.
Most of the time, I make my own cold brew coffee at home, but sometimes the call of coffee hits LA LA and I don't have time to wait 24 hours to satisfy my desire (read here need) for caffeine.
This new product is perfect for these occasions. Cashew milk is, in my opinion, the creamiest of all plant-based milks, and it works great in this product.
I would have preferred an unsweetened version, but with 8.5g of sugar per cup, it's still not too bad. For chocolate lovers, it also comes in a mocha version!

#2 Aliments Racine's veggie burgers
Summer means barbecue (unless, like me, your balcony is less than a square meter). The range of veggie burgers is multiplying in supermarkets, but veggie doesn't automatically mean healthier. Many of these patties are made solely from grains and vegetables, resulting in a protein-deficient result. Many of them are also excessively salty.
My find: Aliments Racine pancakes. In addition to being made with original, high-quality ingredients, they contain 11g of protein, 5 to 7g of fiber, and less than 10% of the recommended sodium intake per serving. The company currently offers two flavors: smoked paprika and sweet potato and garam masala (my favorite).
Beyond the meatballs, the founder of the company is a young woman from Montreal, so it makes me even happier to encourage her!

#3 Lacrem ice cream
Lacrem is a vegan ice cream company made with soy milk. Okay, I admit it, I discovered them a year ago, but I hadn't told you about them on the blog yet... and I had to! Here's why:
- The ingredient list is short and simple
- The fat composition is more interesting than the majority of ice creams (less saturated fat and more unsaturated fat)
- The texture is ULTRA creamy
- The flavors are really original (my favorite is the Earl Grey tea one)
In short, whether you're vegan or not, you're sure to fall in love with Lacrem. They also offer a chai tea flavor, which is absolutely perfect for this scorching start to fall!
